Wheel-thrown porcelain, painted by hand with a loose blue brushmark on each side. Each mark is painted in one go, with no going back once the brush touches the surface. The blue and clear glaze layers blend together when the cup is fired. The rim flares out slightly, giving your fingers something to rest against and making the cup comfortable to hold.
The two cups are made as a pair, with the brushmarks on both echoing the same broad gesture.

Espresso size. Each cup is approximately 5 cm tall and 7 cm across. The cups can stack inside one another.
Trimmed foot, with a raised outer ring that slopes inward to the center. Signed underneath.
