Anja Jamrozik, Ph.D.

Hi, I'm Anja, a cognitive scientist currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Cognitive Neuroscience as part of Anjan Chatterjee's group.

My research to date has focused on spatial and relational language, metaphor, abstraction, and aesthetics.

I'm interested in applying cognitive science to architecture and design. This is a fledgling field, and it's exciting to think about all the ways that cognitive science research can be harnessed to improve our design of buildings, spaces, and objects. If you want to learn more, I'll be posting on that topic here and here.

I've been a cognitive science consultant on projects related to the design of the built environment and as of September 2016, I'll be doing this full-time. Feel free to contact me for more info about how cognitive science can be used to improve your architecture and design projects.
